The Apples Of Mr. Mulock’s Eye!

This week, TEAM School’s youngest students learned how to make apple cider just like the early settlers did. High school teacher, Mr. Mulock brought in an apple press from his family collection along with a bushel of apples and invited the students to make the cider.

Everyone was amazed by how hard it was to press down the apples or turn the handle; it is no wonder the settlers were in such good shape. Mercedes pointed out that there was a lot of work involved, as well as a lot of apples used to make a small amount of cider.

After the cider was boiled, everyone got to have a sample. It was delicious and well worth the effort!
