Getting Creative With Cameras
TEAM School Grade 8 students having been learning about stop motion animation in their visual arts classes. Using iPads to create stop-motion animation films, they have been familiarizing themselves with the challenges of orchestrating a short animation film. They have had to be creative about camera angle, blocking, and in particular the difficulties of setting up their ‘characters’ exactly as they were each time a new filming session has begun. Several of the students have dedicated their own time to continue working on their films. Sean P., whose animation is now well into hundreds of frames, has been determined to produce a lengthy and seamless production. We can’t wait to see how all their films end up!
