Grade 6s At Science Centre

The TEAM School Grade 6 classes had a fantastic day at the Ontario Science Centre on Thursday. The students took part in the “Flight: Inventors Challenge” workshop. They used their curiosity to combine science, engineering and art. They looked at the flight of birds to design a strong and stable flying structure, ensuring that their passengers (in this case a goggles- wearing pig!) were strapped in tightly for the ride. The instructor was impressed with their knowledge of lift and drag when many of the structures took flight. Maybe pigs really can fly!
