Lessons From Swimmy

Pink Day at TEAM School last week got the children in the primary class thinking, “How can we, as the youngest students stand up against bullying?” Then they read Leo Leoni’s book “Swimmy”, and had a great idea! If they play together, looking out for each other and be friends like the little fish forming a big fish in the story, nobody is in danger.

They also discovered that we all are like the little black fish, all unique and different but that can be as helpful as the colours and different patterns on the little fish to form one big fish. Mrs. Gerlai’s students highly recommend that all teachers, students and parents should read Swimmy and they too can join a big fish!
