Picasso-ish

Grade 6 TEAM students travelled to the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga to create art outside the box. They took on the challenge of drawing portraits with correct proportions and then tossed those rules aside to make freeform portraits that brought them into the world of Picasso or abstract art. A transformation of their 2-D picture into 3-D form was made as they used wire to form the lines of their image in space. Their completed wire sculptures revealed their portrait abstractions.
