Sarah Hall’s Waterglass Inspires Students At Waterfront
TEAM School Grade 6 classes had a fun-filled day visiting the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto last week. Students explored the waterfront paying close attention to how the city tries to stay green. From wind mills to solar-powered compressing garbage cans the students realized that Toronto is working hard to leave a positive ecological footprint. The junior students enjoyed visiting the artists-in-residence at work in the Craft Studios while they made glass blown creations. The tour finished when the grade sixes headed indoors (good thing because it was cold out!) to learn about artist Sarah Hall. They used her art installation as an inspiration for their own waterglass photo transfers. What an inspiring trip for our own young artists!
