Special Visitor To TEAM Primary Class

TEAM School’s Primary classes were delighted with a visit from a very special visitor today. “Francesca”, Mrs. Gerlai’s 12-year-old Red Footed Tortoise spent the day and recess time with the students on Thursday.

They were happy to watch her roam around the classroom while they completed their morning activity and wrote a descriptive paragraph using science words to describe her appearance and the way she moved. They were thrilled to watch her on the playground at recess and happily shared what they knew and learned about Francesca with the older students.

The students donated bits and pieces of their lunch, vegetables and fruit only please. However, they discovered that Francesca really liked cheese for a treat. It was a memorable day for the primary students and one tired tortoise.
