TEAM Students Write & Talk About Terry

TEAM School always has a wonderful experience with the Terry Fox Run every year. It is a time to remember all of the awareness Terry Fox brought to Canadians. The Marathon of Hope is an event in history that TEAM staff and students hold close to their hearts.

Students enjoyed learning about Terry’s journey and discussing all the ways in which he is truly a Canadian hero at their annual Terry Fox Run Kick-Off assembly. This year, students in the elementary grades at TEAM have all written about who their personal hero is, and why their hero has inspired them.

Ms. Iyigun and the Community Outreach Club members will be creating a “Hero Wall” later this week that will display all of the wonderful pieces of work students have completed.

“I just wish people would realize that anything’s possible if you try; dreams are made possible if you try.” – Terry Fox
