TEAM U12 Boys: Great Effort At PSAA Tournament

The TEAM School U12 boys’ softball team competed at the annual PSAA tournament on Wednesday at Birchwood Park. The boys competed well in the opening game by losing a close 4-2 decision at the hands of Rotherglen. The key players in that game were Josh, Anthony and Ryan with 2 hits each. Sagar also had a strong game pitching for TEAM.

In the next two games, TEAM was overpowered by strong clubs from Mentor College and Fern Hill Oakville. Great performers in those games were Quinton with 4 hits, Liam with a 2-run single and strong defence from Omabai and Callum. TEAM then went to the playoff round and once again squared off with Mentor College. Mentor charged out to a quick 4-0 lead after an inning and unfortunately TEAM never was able to catch up. Jamieson, Andrew and Jackson played well in that final game of the day.

Coaches Becker and Bhandari are very proud of the boys for an excellent season. The boys have shown tremendous improvement in their batting and fielding skills and demonstrated fair play and good sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Remember that spring training is only 50 weeks away!
