The Human Body

Grade 5 students played up the components of the respiratory and circulatory systems and took over the gym at TEAM last Friday. In their class, each student was assigned a job such as being a red blood cell and delivering oxygen and carbon dioxide to their correct locations, acting out the function of the lungs and heart in order to keep the red blood cells and gasses moving, or performing an action which required the input of oxygen to work. The students had to work as a team in order to keep the living system functioning and avoid collisions on our highway system of veins and arteries.
