Entering its 24th year, the Mentor College/TEAM School Fashion Show has contributed to the over $1,000,000 raised by Mentor College/TEAM School for local hospitals and charities. This student-run event brings together students from all divisions of Mentor/TEAM – with the result being a world-class gala event that makes a difference in the community.
Due to the closures related to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 2020 Fashion Show - originally scheduled to take place on Saturday April 18 - has been cancelled.
The theme of the 2019 Fashion Show - Premiere - was movies! The music, choreography, and décor drew inspiration from cinematic favourites that appealed to every age of our audience of over 700 guests. With the red carpet entrance, Hollywood Walk of Fame, and marquee-lit stage, the three extremely passionate, devoted and hard-working senior students, Maryam Jaffer, Ahad Jassani and Amanda Sottile, executed one of the best productions in the school’s history!
The show featured the new spring lines from over 25 clothing sponsors, as well as unique designs from 4 aspiring student designers, along with 3 powerful dance numbers. Guests were served complimentary savory and sweet finger foods while they browsed the silent auction gallery that was filled with donations provided by our exceptionally generous sponsors - to whom we are tremendously grateful!
Under the guidance and supervision of several dedicated staff advisors and an enthusiastic parent committee, over 250 students collaborated on this production! Students, staff, parents, and members of the Mentor/TEAM community came together for two worthwhile and impactful charities: the Canadian Mental Health Association and Trillium Health Partners Foundation.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this event: students, volunteers, guests who attended it, sponsors, parents, staff who directed it, and finally, to our community, who will benefit from these two organizations committed to making our lives better.
